SpeedBox 3.0 for Bosch E-Bike Motors
The SpeedBox 3.0 is a third-generation tuning chip for compatible Bosch e-bike motors.
It removes the standard 25 km/h assistance restriction and allows you to set a custom maximum assistance speed. Unlike many basic tuning chips, the bike’s display continues to show actual riding information, including speed, distance, average speed and range.
This version does not include Bluetooth and is not compatible with the SpeedBox app.

Important Instructions for Fourth-Generation Bosch Motors
When using the SpeedBox 3.0 with a fourth-generation Bosch motor manufactured from approximately 2020 onwards, the bike must remain switched on after each ride until the distance recalculation has finished.
A countdown may appear on the display. Wait until the display reaches 0.0 km/h before switching off the e-bike.
To support reliable operation:
Leave the bike switched on until the countdown is complete.
During short stops, keep one foot resting on a pedal to help prevent the countdown from starting.
During longer stops, allow at least part of the countdown to finish.
After a long ride, allow the full countdown process to complete.
Do not disconnect the display during recalculation.
Installation
The SpeedBox connects directly to the motor using clearly identified connectors designed to simplify installation.
Detailed fitting instructions and installation videos are available. Removing the tuning chip is completed by reversing the installation process.
RideFaster can provide compatibility and installation guidance before purchase.
Installation on a New E-Bike
Before activating the SpeedBox on a brand-new e-bike, ride the bike for at least 10 km.
This allows the motor and electronic system to complete their initial setup and calibration.
Software Update Warning
We strongly recommend that you do not update the Bosch motor or e-bike firmware while the SpeedBox is installed.
Software updates may:
Affect compatibility
Cause the tuning to stop operating correctly
Increase the risk of tuning detection
Cause faults not covered by the SpeedBox warranty
Disable automatic updates where possible.
Warranty Information
Installing or using a tuning product may affect the e-bike manufacturer’s warranty.
The SpeedBox product warranty may not cover faults caused by motor or system software updates.
